Lead and interact with all members of the school community

The seventh standard of the International School Principal is: "Lead and interact with all members of the school community in ways which demonstrate a knowledge of and sensitivity to the culture of transition and mobility characteristic of international schools".

For many students and families the transition between domestic public schools and international private school can be a challenging one. One of the ways that I help ensure a smooth transition by collaborating with the other IB coordinators to create a welcome orientation for all new families. The orientation however is just the beginning. I continue to check in on the students and families to ensure that they have a smooth transition to both our school and curricula, and living in a new foreign residence.
