The fourth standard of practice for the international school principal is "Lead a curricular system based on the most recent understanding about learning, including developing, implementing and monitoring curriculum and learner progress." I do this in many ways, such as through the unit planning I do with each of the departments, the policies that I have helped to write and revise, and of course our assessment guidelines. This is a video the former DP Coordinator, Jon Armitage and I made for parents to help clarify how assessment works in the MYP and in the DP.
